Review| The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub
10:21 PM
It has been pouring over here in Sri Lanka for the past two days, and the internet has not been on my side, hence I'm posting this on a Monday. Today I will review The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub which I got earlier this year at half price. The Body Shop stores usually have amazing discounts, so make sure you're tuned in to their social media pages to get the info on the discounts and offers.
I feel as though I've included The Body Shop's Olive scrub in many of my favourite posts here on my blog, and on my Instagram page. It honestly is by far the best body scrub I've ever used. It provided good exfoliation, it wasn't too harsh on my skin, and the best part was that it left my skin feeling hydrated.
The problem with already having a favourite, is the fact that whenever I get a new body scrub I usually draw comparisons. I've posted my review of the YesTo scrub, which I found was quite good but lacking in the hydration aspect. This Fuji Green Tea Scrub however was excellent in terms of providing hydration.
Did it live up to the standards set by the Olive scrub? Read on to find out.

Right off the bat, I can sense the crisp, fresh scent; one that would be ideal for baths on warm sunny days. The texture of the scrub is unlike any other scrub I've used. It's gel-like in its consistency, much like a thicker version of their shower gels. It appears mint-coloured due to the tiny beads with exfoliant properties.
In terms of cleansing and exfoliating, it did a good job in cleansing. It wasn't as harsh on the skin because of its consistency. Owing to the use of beads instead of salt or sugar crystals, it made the process of exfoliation seem mild and gentle in comparison. This would be ideal for anyone with sensitive skin. As for me, I much prefer a grittier scrub; one which makes me feel like I've properly scrubbed off the dirt.
What I loved about this scrub was how hydrating it is. My skin felt soft, and it felt like I didn't need to lather on moisturiser or body butter afterwards. The addition of this property is time-saving.
Would I Recommend It?:
I would recommend it to someone with sensitive skin because it is very gentle in exfoliating. As I said, I always compare scrubs with The Body Shop Olive scrub. This scrub is good, and ticked the boxes in terms of cleansing and hydrating. As for the exfoliating, it's just not on that level. Besides, to think about another scrub whilst I'm using another is cheating, right?
